FRAUDSTERS DETECTION SOLUTION FOR CONTACT CENTERS

New York, US, SpeechTEK August 25, 2009 - PerSay,
the leading provider of Voice Biometrics solutions,
announced today that it has successfully completed
the field testing of a new and advanced Fraudsters
Detection Solution that enables contact centers to
detect known fraudsters in real-time, as they call
in. The Solution provides contact centers with an
effective way of fighting identity theft and is
based on the company`s field-proven FreeSpeech|TM| Voice Biometrics platform which analyzes caller`s
voice in the background of a natural conversation
with an agent.
Contact centers around the world are increasingly
being attacked by identity thieves and fraudsters.
These attacks are performed by professionals who
repeatedly call the contact center seeking a way in.
Using pre-texting, widely available customer
information and other social engineering techniques,
they occasionally succeed. Once successful,
fraudsters break into multiple customer accounts - potentially generating substantial financial loss.
While contact centers today have the ability to
record fraudsters` voices on tape, they lack a real
ability to use these recordings and proactively
fight and reduce fraud. Using Voice Biometrics
technology, contact centers can now generate
automatic alarms when fraudsters call.
Built on top of PerSay`s FreeSpeech|TM|, the Fraudsters
Detection Solution taps into every incoming call and
examines it against a set of known fraudsters` voiceprints, which were previously created as well
as the claimed customer`s voiceprint if exists. This
test is performed at various intervals during the
call. The result is a fraud detection score that is
mapped to a set of alert levels and is attached to
the call record in the CTI. A client application
running on the agent`s desktop pops up and directs
the agent to take the appropriate actions according
to the alert level received.
